Old Florida Spanish Fort, scratchbuilt in 15mm
« on: 23 February 2025, 08:20:37 PM »
For Innsmouth in Sebastian, and Seminole Wars "Distant Drums" style "get the gunrunners" scenario.

Small, simple, a garrison of 10 and a cannon or two makes it a challenge to take by a air/land assault by maybe 3 10 man units.

I love building little forts

Quite interesting, thank you ! Even I (two left hands and five thumbs on both hands ;-)) could hopefully try to build something like that. I'm sure this type of fortress can be used almost everywhen and everywhere !

Thanks.   I scribed stonework on foamboard and sanded the backside real thin for the stone base, glued on a piece of styrofoam

Nice.

Wonder if we can get a "parade" shot of your 15mm figures and buildings for this collection and, frankly, most of your stuff.  I think it would be cool to see it all together - preferably in a game but just all together somehow.

I can do that.   Getting real close to being able to set up a large board of terrain n figs.   The Pic below is a 3x4 sample of foilage, for example

Cool.  And thanks.

Not sure if you are aware but there are some 3D printed mangroves out there if you have the money to spend and are willing.  Pre-prints, not where you need your own 3D printer.

Great!

Those are pretty.   I came up with a quick system to make em,  but Mangroves come by the thousands!   A foot of 28mm coastline should have a hundred

Smokey, I love it brother, another awesome build! Since I?ve still not shipped your 28mm flags I?m going to make you some Spanish in 15mm for your fort! I can?t wait to see this set up. I?m getting close to running that scenario you maybe me that awesome building for.

Ironically, in another part of Florida, at the same time as you? SMG and Das Krieg Haus Gamers are doing a La Florida Campaign at our clubhouse, also in 15mm.

Mark Richie is the master of ceremonies, he concocted and is running a very cool campaign with map move encounters being fought out at the club in 15mm using Limeys and Slimeys for the naval actions and the land actions with his awesome set of rules he?s written entitled ?Tactical Conflict?

What set of rules do you plan on using Smokey?

Take care buddy.
