Hi,

Footsore Miniatures have just added what I am sure are ex-Ebo, Paul Hicks sculpted Miniatures Late Roman packs to their LR range (please see imaged below for exact packs) and I was wondering if anyone had bought any and could provide some size comparison pictures please?

I am especially interested in how they fit, size wise, with Wargames Foundry and Bill Thornhill's Footsore Late Romans. I do realise that foundry are smaller then Footsore LR's so do not need to be reminded of that  :D

Thank you

I noticed these on the Footsore website at the weekend. I cannot help you regarding the size but this article from 2016 (http://wargameterrain.blogspot.com/2016/02/ebor-miniatures-late-roman-unarmoured.html) says "Paul has scaled the figures against Gripping beast so they match in height, they are slightly slimmer in heft also the shields are the same size as Gripping beast so the LBM transfers for the GB figures will fit them."

Sorry cannot help more.

Thanks, a good spot. I may well order a pack and see how they fit.

I bought these years ago when Ebor first released them. Love the command figs but certainly don't care for the rank and file. Weird hunchback poses.

Took me a while but now I remember. They remind me of Newline Designs figures

Are they the ones on the comparison pic here.

Thanks Adam. I've seen this comparison before but was thinking the Ebor mini might be in a hunched pose?

Does anyone have and images of the new Footsore Late Romans next to the Wargames Foundry Late Romans please?

I really am very keen to find out, especially as the Foundry Roman Sale ends tonight!

From the photos above if the footsore Late Romans are on par size wise with the Gripping Beast Late Romans they are going to be much bigger than the Foundry Late Romans.

I just received three packs of the new Footsore Late Romans. They seem very close to the Late Romans the Perrys did for Wargames Foundry in height but thinner.

Ah, many thanks Skrapwelder  8) . I was hoping that this thread would not go dead so kudos for keeping it alive.

From the image I am very surprised to see the old Ebor miniatures/new Footsore Late Romans so very close in height to the old Perry Franks of which I am very familiar with (I own tons!). This is actually a bit of a shock as they seem slighter too which definitely puts them at the lower end of the scale bulk and size wise with the Bill Thornhill sculpted Late Romans!

This is one of those situations where you seek clarity, gain it, but are then become even more tentative about ordering them!  lol
