Very nice indeed! What are the 2 or 3 poles on the back of some of the figures?

Liking the religious flag!

My bet is on each soldier carrying a part of a doghouse tent, those rods are the tent poles. On this graphic you can see better:

This is not a religious flag. This is a standard regimental flag of the Russian army of 1900. Most Russian regiments had such flags, which differed in color. In this case, it is the flag of the second regiment in the infantry division.

The everyday shoulder straps of the soldiers of this regiment will be blue.

Thank you very much for your attention to this project.
Yes. The sticks on the coat are tent pegs. Each soldier has a piece of cloth and pegs from which it was possible to make a common tent. (if you are interested, I had a drawing of this tent somewhere)

My problem is stronger.
I tried to make the figures in the size of Copplestone (30 mm from the heels to the eyes)
But I made a little mistake.

I want to make the next figures in the standard size of 28 mm, so that the equipment in 1/56 size looks good

This project is planned to include the following figures. I have not yet decided whether I will replicate them. The goal of the project is to see how it will look

So

1914 summer

1. Full army kit. Backpacks, rolls, bags and tent pegs. Attack on the march. I suggest making three. Because there are many different varieties. If you want, you can make more

2. Guards in a dash in an attack with full gear

3. Autumn 1914 - greatcoats and hoods with caps

4. Winter 1914 greatcoats papakhas and hoods wrapped around the neck

5. Spring 1915 Collars raised on greatcoats

6. Summer 1915 Osovets. From the equipment - cartridges and old tunics wrapped around the faces

7. Summer 1915 grenade launchers From the weapons - grenades and sapper shovels

8. Autumn 1915 greatcoats caps instead of backpacks sidors leather bandoliers

9 Winter 1915 papakhas greatcoats bandoliers

10. Spring 1916 standing and shooting

11. Summer 1916 puttees, canvas bandoliers

12. Summer 1916 Gas masks

13. Autumn 1916 Greatcoats and helmets

14. Winter 1916 greatcoats and gas masks

15. Spring 1917 assault group of grenadiers

16. Summer 1917 women's battalion

That's it in general terms.
You can still master it

-Plastuns
- Siberians
- Turkish front
- winter mask robes
- F1 grenades
- ......

Something like that

Wow Khmorg, nice to see that this already-gorgeous range plans to include miniatures for Russians fighting late into the Great War and not just the start. I'm curious if you plan to branch out past infantry though? In 28mm, there is no manufacturer I know of which represents WW1 Russian cavalry, so that could definitely fill a sizeable gap.

Cavalry is interesting. I have a problem with the size of the figures. Make 28 mm or 30 ???
When I finish with the infantry. (Even if I make only 3 figures of each type, it turns out to be an army) I will probably move on to another type of troops.

Here, the upper pics the assembled tents (guess there were many models with slight differences), on the lower one that sunshade also seems like being made from a standard tent canvas piece. It says the tents are for 4, but seemingly it is just for 2.

By 1914, the Russian army used a tent model of 1909, designed (according to the standard) for six people and assembled from six identical panels, three posts, ten ropes and eight pegs. Each panel in its finished form was a square with a side of 163 cm. The panel, made of pure flax, was impregnated with a chemical composition that did not allow moisture to pass through. The tent was assembled as follows. Four panels were connected in pairs, threading the ropes included in the set through small holes in the panels. The resulting top of the tent was installed on three posts, after which two more panels folded into triangles were sewn on the sides. One of the side panels was not sewn on one edge and was used as an entrance. After that, the ropes were stretched and attached to the pegs. There were also other options for assembling these tents: a marquee - from 24 panels and 8 poles, a yurt tent - from 12 panels, etc. Using fewer panels, it was possible to assemble an awning for fewer people.

This is a tent of the early Soviet model (with some minor changes), but with the same principle of use.

On the right is the use of an awning to accommodate one person.
