28mm mice
« on: April 14, 2025, 03:05:27 PM »
anyone know of any 28mm mice at all? not rats, no anthropomorphic mice warriors, just your run of the mill, squeaky, cheese eating mice...

I'm trying sculpting one, but if a decent one already exists would be a bonus...

There is a small mouse on the Frostgrave wizard sprue.

Splintered light do some 15mm rats that might be about right? https://www.splinteredlightminis.com/ratswarm.html

Another option is finding some STLs and printing at a smaller size.

Generally like Splintered Light but those 'rats' are rather poorly defined (have them).  But that might be a good thing in this instance.  Regardless, the 15 mm rat option does seem a good one to explore further.

I think it's cartoon mousies that eat cheese.

I like the sesame seed idea.  pen line the tails on the base.  Mice are small. even 28mm rats are generally proportioned as big as cats or small dogs.

The STLs I've seen are too large to scale down so much.

Fimo would be a good option if you want a bit more shape than using grains.

Perfect Six (perfectsixscenics.co.uk) do a 6mm rats and spiders item in their Fantasy 6mm section. The rats from that that might do as 28mm mice.

Go to a pet shop, buy a mouse, sedate it, scan it, and give the file to a 3-D printing boffin for serious reduction. Thank the mouse and pass him on to a kid with no cats (important).
