Having succumbed to temptation at the Sarissa stand at Salute, I am now the proud owner of second edition Baron's War (plus both cavalry sets and some previously bought knights).
https://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.com/2025/04/barons-war-second-edition.html
This is really a new period for me, and surviving 13th century architecture (beyond castles etc) is rather rare.
I was looking for suggestions for suitable buildings for the period (the Warbases Border Reiver ones I have are probably 2-300 years too recent).

Plastic or MDF,  and a UK supplier.

Thanks in advance.

North Star has the Tabletop Workshop range, which are quite a nice plastic option: https://www.northstarfigures.com/list.php?man=291&page=1

Yep,  OSHIRO modelterrain. In my opinion the best out there.

Thanks all.

I had looked at them, but thought they looked too modern (14-15 century?).
The Renedra/Perry cottage is labelled 1300-1700,  but appears to be of Cruck construction of some kind.

Blotz produce some nice Medieval buildings in MdF, and Debris of War have some very nice resin models.

If you're search criteria include Stls there's nothing better than the Printable scenery range

These are from the King & Country range

Timing wise, for something earlier (or later but more rustic) I have the Perry buildings, converted into various forms....

Thanks, I have a number of Blotz buildings but had not looked at the Medieval ones, they look good,

The Debris of War ones look nice, I do need to paint the roundhouse I got a while back...

Honestly I'd second reccomendations to try scratchbuilding- there are a million tutorials out there, and constructing a house only requires some cardboard, stir sticks, and PVA. That aside though, I'll agree with Ogrob that Northstar is very nice indeed.

What did you use for the thatch?

It's an old towel. Brushed in the appropriate direction with slightly thinned PVA

Have a look at the Sarissa Dark Ages range, It has everything from an abandoned Roman Villa up to Border Reivers. The middle section of the pages has what would probably be most appropriate for what you're gaming. I couldn't afford it at the time but I would second the Oshiro range, James has put together some stunning buildings.
