15 mm Movie Theater circa 1930s suggestions?
« on: July 12, 2025, 06:33:50 AM »
Not HO, please, I know those.  Looking for 1:96 or 1:100 or 15 mm movie cinema circa 1930s, 3D pre-printed or resin works, don't take to MDF I'm afraid.

Anything out there on the market?  My internet searching hasn't borne fruit yet.

Thanks!

As Moriarty says.
That's a very specific requirement and I doubt there are many 'gaming' models out there.
You will probably have to look for architectural models, with the prices that come with those.
Hence why a 3D printed one will probably be your only option.

If you are up for a scratchbuild then maybe keep your eyes out for suitable packaging and other boxes that could form the basis.

Is this a UK Movie theatre or American ? Also are you aiming to use the whole building(so figures inside) or is the movie theatre frontage on a street more important ? Ref the frontage I was thinking art deco laser cut bits(etsy sell them) stuck to the front and a laser cut neon sign(etsy again or your local laser cutter). I recently got a bespoke laser cut mdf sign done for £20 which can also be back lit with simple led battery light.

Is this what you are after ?

The Poseidon and the Cinema in modelwarrior's post are both interesting.  A facade would work just fine.

I have messaged one of my 3D sources to see if he has access to either - pretty sure he has access to all the myminifactory items.  But I really like the Poseidon one, I can see that appearing in various guises.

Update - not a fully done deal yet but sounds like Centrion 3D Studios will have a couple of the linked theaters above available in 15 mm.  Don't go looking for them on their website just yet but hopefully sooner than later.  Will update when I know more.
