Possible Plane for Pulp

I bought this toy yesterday and it seems to me about right for 28mm which is what the figure in the photo is. Needs a repaint but otherwise it seems quite suitable for pulp or maybe VBCW.

It looks fine for pulp. I got a 1/48 Polikarpov for A VBCW. This looks like the biplane early version.

That has a lot of potential. I wonder how hard would it be to replace those wing struts with something a bit more aerodynamical?

I'd be tempted to take the top wing off and make it into a monoplane. Great find.

Understand about the struts being thinner but I think it works as is and being die cast not sure I'd mess with that.  Definitely keep it as a biplane - just that extra bit of character.  Just need to have the right backstory behind it.

I agree about the struts - I’m happy with them. I’ve taken out the motor and rubber wheels because, although it’s fun to pull the model back then watch it go with the prop spinning, that level of fun isn’t required in a game
