Geronimo's posting on Frothers:

Quote from: geronimo
Threadomancy to pop up pics of the slightly remodelled command/explorer version of this I finished last week. This version's in the shop now together with the turreted version shown last week; more variants in the new year.

Two different scanner/radar arrays included with the kit - larger version shown here (the other one's in rubber :) )

Glad I pushed on this these are going to look nice.

Armoured plates add ons for the cabin area would be good too?

AND well wouldn't you know the master himself beat me to it! :D
Now water can flow....or water can crash...be water my friend.

Oh wow! That's ace!

Right, as soon as I've moved house and once again have a disposable income, I'll be picking up two (or three) of these for my Greater Israel Army platoon.

Yes, it's part of a setting for my games of Stargrunt II - it's a nation-state on Earth that encompasses Israel, Palestine, Sinai, Jordan, Lebanon and parts of Syria.

It has colonies in spaaaaaaaace, too.

reminds me of the end of a Mel Brooks movie..

would really be curious to know how this is supposed to have happened.....
is there an official background story?

Official? Err, not so much, no, more of "insane rantings from my mind".

In essence: climate change is not stopped. The resulting water wars (and, indeed, resource wars) lead to the formation of a series of power blocs subsuming nationalities and nations into super-nations such as the National Bolshevik Republics, European Federation, or North American Combine.

Greater Israel comes about when the Caliphate tries to crush the Israelis only to get defeated (again). There's an uneasy standoff when the NBR threatens to use its (large) stockpile of nuclear weapons on Israel if it doesn't stop advancing, and the NAC/EFed threaten to use theirs on the NBR... no-one does, but the end of that particular war creates GI.

Various space programmes happen! FTL is invented! Habitable planets/moons are found! Terraforming occurs! Mining colonies and prison planets are set up!

And so on. The 'present day' is 2200 AD.

so I presume oil would not be an issue any more?
because after the last Lebanon escapade I hardly see any "again" apart from nukes

well, interesting perspective

You two start another thread

Back on topic:

Just an update to show the new slightly remodelled command/explorer version of this we've just put into the eBay shop:

Comes with two different radar/ scanner assemblies to allow minor customisation.

Heavy armour/ long gun  variants are on their way in the new year :)

If I plate over the cockpit area I can see this thing be a very nice research vehicle or heavy APC a la the Boxer in 20mm. Just thinking out loud here :)
