My little group is on the cusp of starting a new Frostgrave Campaign with new Wizards. This gives me an opportunity/excuse to (a) try a Wizard school I have not tried before; and (b) buy some miniatures I have had my eye on for while - in this case some English Civil War figures from Bloody Miniatures. I am no expert on the period and even if I was I think ECW gaming might be a difficult sell to my current group, but I do like the figures and of course the beauty of a fantasy miniatures-agnostic game like Frostgrave is that you can shoe-horn pretty much any miniatures you want to into the game. I therefore placed an order with Bloody Miniatures for a few packs which arrived very promptly and which I am in the process of painting up.
So far I have finished:
My new Wizard - Valentine Furnace, a pious and puritan Thaumaturge. He might not be much fun at parties but his will is iron and he is planning to use Blinding Light to powerful effect against rival warbands, wandering monsters and other Royalist sympathisers.

My new Apprentice - Solomon Penfold, older than his master, Solomon is dutiful, patient and unflappable despite (or perhaps because of) having poor eyesight and being somewhat hard of hearing.

Together they will now recruit a band of upstanding and pure Roundheaded Thugs...

...in preparation for facing the terrors of Felstad.

I will update once further painting has occurred.
Er, I think it says "Here be Dragoons"
