The tutorial idea is great!

But please, share with us both parts:

One dealing with the buildings and construction tips (with templates and measures if possible), and other explaining in detail to us mere mortals that AMAZING painting technique (because we LAF forumites aren't fools, but please, explain it as if we were  ;D ).

Oh! and some explanation of the paper curtains can be very helpful too!

You are sooooo talented.

Tnx.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

Thanks for the posts. We’ll try to make a more “fool proof”, step-by-step on how to make the buildings, doors, windows, ect.  Dad made this really sweet roof I thought I should show you guys. It is made out of bristles from a broom, eighth inch of bass wood for the frame and support, and nutmeg colored spray paint. WARNING: the roof is prone to leaking.  lol

That's a nice addition to your growing town :-*
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Bristles from a broom! I love it. The awning looks so good.

I'm always looking for new materials that fit in scale.  I've been wondering about something other than 'fake fur' plastered down with a white glue emulsion to do roofs for some bungalows I'm working on.  Thanks for the tip.

Indeed, the both of you. Amazing, amazing work. I too would love to have a step-by-step PDF tutorial on your techniques. I've been following this thread for a while and, seriously, great work.

Wow...this is a fabulous topic.
Excellent work.
This has inspired me to get my "The Mummy" themed game off the ground.
Yearly painting challenges only show me how useless I am at painting...

All those vehicles are from Blue Moon Manufacturing, out of their Highways and Byways line. I'd say they are somewhere in the 1:56 to 1:64 range, but I'm not sure what they call it.

Here is a picture of the truck surrounded by some Artizan minis, for a better sense of scale --

HAVE FUN!
