Can't wait to see the rest!

I love that building. How did you do the windows?

A few folks have asked about the windows...

I was really dreading the idea and making all those windows. My fat fingers don't like doing all that small fiddly work any longer. After a couple failed ideas, I was thrilled when I finally came up with a way to CHEAT!  :o

I printed the black frames on a sheet of clear plastic, cut them out with scissors, and glued them in place. Fast, simple, and I'm very happy with how it looks. I brushed some gloss varnish on the inside to give the windows more "character".  :D

Very, very nice now it's finished. (psst, that back wall still needs a large painted sign across the bricks...)  ;)

Ayup, that's one of the things I'd like to go back and add. Maybe eventually, but for now I'm moving on...  ;)

For our Vice Alley campaign, I'm looking for a good source for urban accessories. Pulp era style trashcans, fire hydrants, newspaper stand, street lights, and so on.

Who makes good models for this kind of stuff?

THANKS

You surely can find additional items at a modelltrain store, O scale works fine.

Fenris Games has fire hydrants and trashcans. They also have a new website which seems to be partly down at the moment (the online shop bit).

This is from the gallery of the part of their site that still works; it shows the hydrant and trashcan

Ainsty do some good stuff and I seem to recall someone saying there was a US retailer?  Black Cat also have a wide range of very useful stuff but until they get their orders backlog sorted any purchase could be a big risk.

Very nice work indeed. What is your recipe for your basing mixture? Can you even share it?

There's also the Lego garbage cans. They'd look great for 28mm and I was thinking they might be cheap to pick up.
