I have read it and was very disappointed, but at least its better than the Black Dosier, but thats not saying much.

I have a copy.  It's not as good as the previous League of Extraordinary Gentlemen titles.  I bought it on the strength of the previous titles, but was very disappointed.  I would spend your pennies on something else if I were you.

But then I liked Black Dossier too.

Some of the characters in 1910 didn't register for me, as I'm obviously not as well read as Alan Moore, but I enjoyed it for what it was. I also got the strong impression that it was setting up bigger events for the next two parts (whenever they eventually turn up) so I could allow it some leeway.

The only thing that I really didn't like, was all the bloody singing. I just find it a bore to wade through, and if you don't know what tune its supposed to go to it can make it quite frustrating to read. And most of the last act of the book was sung, for some reason. Bloody annoying.

I'd still give it a good 6.5 out of ten. though.

The main song that runs through the book is to the tune of "The Black Freighter" best sung by Nina Simone. Also briefly featured is "Mac The Knife", best performed by Frank Sinatra or the Brian Stetzer Orchestra.

Sadly, it doesn't hold up against Volumes I and II, the characters are not as recognisable, the plot is brief and not overly engrossing. If you can get a loan and read it for free, it may be worthwhile, I ended up wishing I'd bought more Punisher.

I was a big fan of the first two volumes, but I didn't pick up the Black Dossier - it just didn't look appealing to me.  I did get Century:1910 to support Top Shelf (http://www.topshelfcomix.com/), LOEG's new publisher, which is a really great company and one of the best comic publishers around - their books are a big reason why I got into comics.

I didn't really care for it, though.  There were things ABOUT it that I liked - the inclusion of Orlando, for example - but the narrative didn't deliver the same sort of punch as the formers.  For one, the first two had great villains (Fu Manchu, Moriarty, the Martians), necessitating the existence of the League.  That was a big part of the fun for me.  The series seems to have moved away from story towards being wholly detail-oriented, and that just doesn't capture me the same way.

I liked it. Unusual, just like the others. It's got a lot of references to Bertold Brecht, among others, so just like with the Black Dossier it doesn't hurt to get your classics out for a refresher.

The first graphic novel was a blast, and their interpratation of hyde is intrigueing, i just finished it if you want it for a few bob?

I love them all the 1910 was different and I enjoyed the final pirate attack, the story at the back looks very promising, Amazon Vs  Selenites. The black dossier is extreeme but  again the files inside make great reading. And who could not love the Green Matians attack in book 2, stunning work.

The next one is 1977 which will feature some wonderful charcters.....
