hat light infantry voltigeurs for song of drums and shakos
« on: 03 January 2010, 02:51:28 PM »
Just started painting up my 25mm forces for Ganesha's  "song of drums and shakos"
napoleonic skirmish.

I got some of Hat 28mm plastics (although size wise they are very much more 25mm)  light infantry voltigeurs.

Nice figures, relatively easy to paint for napoleonics.

they'll be going up against my perry british line and rifles once they are finished.

They look rather good.

I got some of Hat 28mm plastics...

Are they "hard" plastic?  Come on a sprue like Perry?  (Just curious.)

orctrader,

yup, hard plastic, same as an airfix style model kit. The figures are on a sprue, with only 2 parts each, the figure and a backpack. they go together with polystyrene cement very easily.

you get 48 in a box, 8 different poses with 2 of the poses duplicated on each sprue,

Interesting, as the other New plastics appear to be multipart.  So, if you only have to glue two parts together, assembly must be quick.  Unless there is a lot of flash/mould lines?

yup, assembly was a breeze compared to the perry and victrix figures.

surprisingly few mould lines either, only had to scrape a couple away, and none were in awkward to reach places or on faces etc.

very pleased with the figures

They look like they turned out vary well also
