I've begun building a squad to use in Song of Drums and Shakos based off the Royal Irish Fusiliers campaigning in Spain. I've painted up two test figures and need advice on which route to go. The left figure is washed with Army Painter Dark tone and I like how it looks on the grays, blacks and whites but the other is washed with Army Painter Strong tone which I like better on the flesh and the red and brown. The problem is it makes the white look dirty. I guess in theory I could use both washes. More photos on my blog including a sneak peek of the first three characters.

I like them both, and if you want a more parade ground looking, you can always touch up the white after you dip them.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

The final squad will be nice and dirty from their time in Spain. Hell old Billy will have patches on his trousers which won't be regulation but of cheap brown Portuguese wool.

After deciding on the Strong Tone wash I have painted up some more members of my squad. Comments and criticism is encouraged. Also more pictures on my blog.
