First test, takes quite a bit of time this. Everything in the lower quarter of the screen is as it was before, everything above that is with additional weathering. Maybe I need to up the contrast in paints a little, or thin them less. (paints used are a light grey, a medium grey and Badab Black, all thinned). The tutorial in the magazine is very helpful but won't work for this unless I strip it down again and use a wirebrush to score the plastic...and that ain't going to happen

looks good

You could try some runoff stains, and a bit of green at the very outer edges of the boards for this green growth that builds on wet surfaces - just to break up the pattern and the colour a bit

I will, first the basic weathering of the wood though....was painting till midnight last night just to get one side done, and it is still not finished on that side....this thing is enormous compared to my usual kits

As soon as that is done I'll do the wet spots, the faded lettering or symbol, the mould and whatever I can think of. In between steps I'll do doors and rust to prevent myself from going bananas due to no variation in the work.

Still, quite a few evenings work in this one before it is done.

Oo-err, missus! That's very nice, love the subtle fading of white. It's really screaming some uplifting & motivational propaganda wall art/slogan , wouldn't you say? Suitably faded, of course...
