Thanks for the compliments guys.

Was it hard to remove the integral base from this figures?

I never actually removed it.  I glued her on a washer, just like the rest, and then used a little green stuff to blend the two together.  By the time the base was sanded, you couldn't even tell that there was an integral base.

Incidentally, our Westwind order showed up yesterday (excellent service and superbly packed btw), so Marc is now in possession of his models and will likely have his warband up and running within a couple of weeks.

Now, off to base up the inhabitants of Dertflinghan itself,
J

I was just drooling over the pictures again, and I found that some of the plants from the mental hospital is a bit too much "plastic green"... a wash or two would do wonders...

I've been on your blog.  I think you will require a longer-term, more intense treatment program. :D

In the meantime, please enjoy reading about the Mannleigh Expedition: http://geektactica.blogspot.com/2010/03/mannleigh-expedition.html

Well, it goes without saying (but I guess I'll say it anyway) that the miniatures (and game boards you've created) are exceptionally well done, but I really enjoyed reading the background you've created. I create all my backgrounds for my settings and characters myself, to me it's part of the enjoyment of the hobby. I look forward to reading (and seeing, of course) more of your work, and thanks for sharing.

Hey Argonor,

St. John's, Newfoundland.  If you're ever in the neighborhood, give me a heads up.  :-I  No, seriously.

As to the project, even though the CinC campaign is under way, I'm still painting and modelling.  I'm almost finished my Vampire warband, which will hopefully make its campaign debut in the next week or two.  Here are three of the lesser vampires (sorry for the blurriness).  They come from Westwind's super-awesome Kindernacht blister pack.

I'm also in the process of waiting for numerous scenery items to arrive in the mail.  Within the next month I should have a couple of new hills, sexified forest bases with some new trees mixed in, and a nice set of new LOTR ruins which should fit nicely in the uninhabited Transylvanian wilderness.

Until next time,
JET

Remember to get the (unofficial) extra rules with alternative warbands (all the Vampire Wars stuff from Westwind represented). I don't recall where to download them from, though  :?

I hope to see some photos of what the rest of you guys are doing with Chaos in Carpathia and Chaos in Cairo.  Since the last post I've finished the vampire warband and am making some serious headway with my dungeon/crypt tiles and furniture.  I actually plan on playing the vampire warband tomorrow evening.
