That's nice posing on Iron Train- Getting the proper sense of him swinging a roundhouse punch with his right arm can be fiendishly difficult. I think it was a good idea to put him on a flat base, rather than the dedicated MaxMini resin base- He always looks like he's toppling backwards otherwise.

Cheers, but a happy accident more than anything.  8)

It was more that I am trying to them my bases to an extent; Heroes mostly have not too damaged streets. Hero/Villains generally have whatever is lying around and suits most. Villains have more damaged terrain looking bases. Ulthars all have Dragon forge Lost Empires bases. Sentry Bots have a tech-deck type to make them suitable for sci-fi.

That's an interesting idea, to subtly show their team affiliation with thematic basing. As I go about prepping mine, I've been trying to match basing to the character of the individual, but it's not always immediately obvious. I've been making an exhaustive study of the hobby section on the Pulp City forum and I think that there are some common errors that people fall into when it comes to basing (screwing up Solar's levitation effect, for instance). Here are a couple of WIP shots of my based up Iron Train and my Solar:

I think Solar is supposed to float like that, as his slotta tab is on the bottom of his cape, not on his feet.

The problem is that if one were to use his slotta tab to base him up, he doesn't get enough ground clearance for a convincing levitation effect. Also, the way the flat side of his cape is done, he would be floating tilted backwards with his feet sticking out. I solved the ground clearance problem by basing the cape on the curb of a resin base and I solved the tilt problem by changing the angle with a shaped greenstuff wedge.

Sorry for the momentary thread hijack, Leon...  ::)

No worries.

Re: Solar and his cape; the tab is intended to be snipped and if you check him out his heels then snugly sit into the cape - check out the 'studio' version. It may seem odd, but that is how it was intended. That said, your solution is excellent!  :)
