What next to see designed in 28mm for Russo Turkish war..?
« on: January 26, 2010, 10:36:52 PM »
I am canvassing the membership to see what you guys might like to see coming next in 28mm for the RTW. Already Outpost have Bulgarian, Turkish and Russian Line..in the wings they have coming Turkish and Russian gun crews, Russian Guard(conversions of existing line) and Ural Dismounted cossacks. Also designed but not cast there are a couple of Romanian Dorobantz infantry with more to come and a couple of Dismounted Caucasian cossacks.

Outlined below are some thoughts but please let me know what you would like to see in production next;

Turkish cavalry
Romanian regular line
Russian dismounted dragoons
Turkish Irregular/Kurdish infantry
Romanian artillery
Cossack artillery - Caucasian
Romanian cavalry

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Geoff

Is this middle and late 19th Century we are talking about?

Your list looks great.

How about Turcomens?  We need more Turcomen figures!!!!  (   ;)  )

You have a great list for production, but would like to also see Romanian Chasseurs and Egyptian Infantrymen.  Thanks

As many different Turks as possible! They are also very useful for VSF/Darkest Africa style games.

I have to agree. We need more of any of the Turks and their subject troops.

What Smokey said - Turcomen, Uzbeks, Uigurs, etc.

Yah, I know they don't fit Russo-Turkish, but would really spur sales of the Russian Figures, if my interest in Russia's central Asia campaigns is any indicator.

Turkish Irregular/Kurdish infantry!!!

Any type of irregulars could find usage from the Napoleonic Wars upto WW1

Jeff at Outpost has two greens of Khivan uzbek/Turcomen figures, just awaiting production process, they are standing rifle across the body and standing firing

These I had comissioned as not only am I an avid fan of RTW, but the Romance and brutality of the Central Asian campaigns also inspires the imagination

Not sure when Jeff will have these listed , but an email to him should get an answer
