The car is, IIRC, from Peter Pig's WWI/RCW range and was inspired by a picture I found online somewhere.

As for 15mm Russo-Turkish, I use Lancashire Games or at least I will do when I eventually get round to painting them!

Wow! I thought I love russian uniform of Russo-Turkish War, but now I love their uniforms of Russo-Japanese War. Its very unique and have pretty colours (white top and green bottom). So I think my 15mm vsf russians will be from russo-japanese war (its vsf. who cares ).

By the way. I was searching the net and I CANT find any sit3es with detailed info about russian uniforms. Why russians have green shoulder straps on one pics and red on other. Why I saw green furage hat on 1 pic. What colour was russian artillery crew. What colours was ensigns of regiments in russo japanese war. To bad that this war is not very popular

I know that during the Boxer Rebellion the line regiments had yellow shoulder boards & collars & rifles red. I don't know about the green ones. This was supposed to be standard for Siberian & far east units. The Blue shoulder boards & collars were worn in the near east central asian campaigns. And I am not sure what the artillery used.

The hat is easily explained as it is actually green, however troops were issued with a white cover to put over it during summer. I've seen pics where they clearly haven't and have green hats, white tunics and green trousers. Looks great so that's how I'll paint mine when I get around to it.

I can only think of one pic showing artillery crew and that's the Osprey one shown further back, hang on...



As you can see, they're also in green/white/green. (they're in the background).

As to the shoulder boards, I think that was to show company type/army/origin. I don't have the books with me to check though.
