Stalingrad grain elevator

Does anyone know the dimensions for the grain elevator ?

Also, are the two sides symmetrical ?
I've seen a variety of pictures, but they mostly seem to be from the same side.

Are the sides fairly plain vertical surfaces ?
Again the pictures I have seen aren't terribly clear, but they look a little as though it is just a huge concrete box construction.

The model looks good, but the original was absolutely huge, far longer than that one, also we are looking for 15mm.

Still, if anyone knows the height/width/length of the original....

Someone put me in touch with Gettysburg Area Gamers who staged Stalingrad last year in 20mm, and they have some good clear pictures here :

They seem quite helpful friendly chaps and have already given some hints, so hopefully we should have Stalingrad Scarborough under construction at Easter.

Stalingrad Scarborough is now under construction.

I'm avoiding the grain elevator, but have started cutting foamcore for the tractor factory complex (currently 3 bases each 11" x 8"), and the Barrikady factory complex (another 3 bases each 11" x 6", plus 2 6" x 6"). May not seem huge, but for 15mm figures these are going to be quite big buildings. We've got 8 appartment blocks made (four almost intact, four in complete ruins), and at the weekend we start cutting Red October.

If we get anything that looks even remotely mediocre I'll get photos.

If the building still exists maybe you can Google Earth it. If you find it then there's a tool in the toolbar (funnily enough) you can use to measure it.

Maybe this could help. Use the ruler to get the meassurements? Scale is supposed to be 6mm.

The page mentions length... 60cm for the entire complex.
