The Duchess and bodyguard (updated pictures 31-3-10)

After many, many years I have finally made a start on the Foundry Queen Victoria figure.
She is going to be The Duchess. I think she looks amusingly crazy, 
She is pictured here with Rose and Big Willie



Anybody have any painted examples of this figure they'd like to post?

Big Willie is the promo figure that Warlord Games supplied with copies of the Black Powder rules.
I'm not sure if he's now available for sale from them now.
They did have a gallery of customer paints of him, but I can't find it on their site at the moment, sorry.
I suppose you could email them and ask?

As I've painted her bodyguard, the "Pink Ladies" in the same colour scheme as the Duchess herself, I've included them in the group shots. No more progress with "Big Willie" yet.
The "Pink Ladies" are two of the Hinterland Miniatures Female Hussars.

Each mini is nice, but as a group they all compliment each other soooooo well!

Elprez, these are really good!

I noticed all of them are blonde or grey haired!

I might make my leader for the wimmin Red-Headed. You know what they say about gingers and their temper!!!

I really must order a unit for Gaslight. I have Her Royal Highness (Gawd bless 'er) and the maid figure already, so might steal your ideas

Go for it! As I said, I've had Her Majesty (Gawd bless her) for years, and have only now got round to painting her,  .
When the girls turned up, it just seemed right. In the lead pile, her face seems to have become a little squashed somehow, but I think its given her a suitably mad expression, 
Don't forget to post pics.
I'm sure we're going to see some beautifully painted versions of the Female Hussars very soon.
All I have to do now is finish painting my Big Willie (ooer, fnar, fnar,  )
