Board is done bar the frame, which will get a lick of paint.. any day now!  lol

I think the water turned out OK and I'm also pleased with the size of the ship (which I had no clue about)

Wow... much better than when I looked at it last time ;)

The water looks really good. Looking forward to playing on it again.

Just a quick question: Do you use some mixed flock/static grass for the grass patches/areas?

I can almost access my work/gaming table in the office/study/hobby room after a concentrated effort last night, and I have a half finished 3x3 / 90x90 table on top of it (it had disappeared beneath some boxes), that needs a bit more paint (some touch-up because of damage applied by the stuff on top of it, and some 'drybrushing' - which is more a wetbrushing with a large flat brush), and then should have some grass patches scattered all over.

Am looking forward to seeing this 'in the flesh' at the end of the month  :)
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Yes I make a mix of different materials and the sprinkle it on. I am VERY pleased with the results of the Scenic Spray that Captain Blood suggested (woodland scenics). It's perfect for sealing turf/grass/flocks. I used it on all my trees too and from sprinkling flock all over the place the trees have gone completely mute.

So am I  lol

Where did you get the spray? Must be from mainland Europe, somewhere, as spray cans cannot be sent by air mail?

My trees make an awful mess, too...  :)

It's not a can with compressed gas. Just a duster with some substance in a can (probably just diluted PVA, smells different though).

Oh. Does it leave a glossy effect, then, or does it dry up matt?

And if you're wondering how I have time for this conversation at this time of day, our Sharepoint is down - can't really work  lol

I can't believe I missed this thread completely...

This is the weirdest, coolest project I've seen in a long time! Vikings, Owlbears, 'Shrooms, Romans, man, did something leak in Danish water lately? Tainted batch of Carlsberg perhaps?

Keep it coming, this is just too good!

Yours truly,

Sir Dryden

Thanks!

Normally I'm not that easy to miss.  lol  (oh there's a double in that!)

Nuff talk... on with some ramblings of my WIP's:

There's got to be more owlbear in the game. So I'm working on these.

The Lilliputians need somewhere to live. So I'm working on these.

The Romans need something big and scary. So I'm working on this.

Do the Vikings and Owlbears set aside their differences and team up to take down those egotistical roman bastards?

Haha not this time. Maybe in my "Viking Apocalypse" mega game...  lol

Idea is still that the crew gets caught up in a purple maelstrom, and then the simple "roll a die and see where you land" with the possibillities being:

1:Lindisfarne
2: Ancient Rome
3: Owlbear Island
4: Land of The Lilliputians
5: Skeleton Coast
6: Feudal Japan

In each case one of the Old Northern Gods reveals himself in an aberration to the sea wrecked Vikings and gives them a "mission".

For example: Before facing the owlbears Thor tells the Vikings that he will safely transport the two Vikings, who bring him the most owlbear eggs, back to their wives and farms.

Now I won't manage to make the last to for Horisont. But I'm hoping to get them done before all the shows start next year and then go on a tour!  lol
