Two weeks ago I came across this posting, and it sent me on a search to find Brumm coaches. In that two weeks I have discovered that this Italian manufacturer makes a large number of historically accurate and beautifully made plastic coaches in 1:43 scale, and I have been able to purchase 5 different models including the one pictured above. I was also able to discover that a company by the name of S and D Models (a UK company) holds the production rights to the Phoenix 43 figure line which makes three different horses in harness appropriate for pulling these coaches. In the US the distributor for the Phoenix line is International Hobbies. While the coaches can be quite expensive, a search can result in finding them at reasonable prices. I paid between $5 and $20 per coach. That price range included shipping and handling. But I have often seen them priced between $30 and $60. The horses are, to my taste, expensive but give the coaches the right look so I have purchased several of them as well. If you are looking for coaches for your Victorian collection, these are the best I have found. My thanks to the poster of the original message.
