Suppose it depends on what you want.. T&T were designed in a 'Hollywood' style, so vehicles can 'explode' when shot, but it's hardly a major revision of the rule-system to say armoured vehicles can only be damaged by weapons above rifle calibre.

If we are more realistic unarmoured vehicles provide 'hard cover' or 'soft cover' depending on which bit you're standing behind. Most light armoured vehicles from way back when to now are only designed to withstand rifle calibre weapons and shrapnel in any case.

I don't know these stoic Russian lead families, keep coming back for more.  Can't keep the metal girl on the collective farm.

So we played another battle, this time with Mexican revoltionaries with their tank, pushing up into CA.  They were to be stopped by a combination of citizens, Elks Lodge members and police.  The Mexicans managed to get through the defenders, but it was a very Pyrrhic victory.

It was soooo pyrrhic....

the Mexican soldiers had to get the help of prisoners to fill out the harmonies for the round of Kumbaya they all sang around the burning Mexican tankette. Fortunately the Del Paso Elks Lodge had a credible bass section.

Diesel fumes ruins the taste of S'mores.

Could have been worse. Quality told in the end. The locals had 6 units and one vehicle to the Mexican 4 units and one vehicle. Several of the locals were Raw units of basically civilians. In the end, the Mexicans had 2 units in good order, a third at half strength and the fourth destroyed. I think the locals finished with one unit in good order, 3 at half strength or worse and lost 2 units completely. Each sides vehicle took some serious hits.

Well, I wouldn't say the Mexicans had 2 units in good order.  1 of the mostly full strength units had enough suppression markers to need to start taking morale checks if it got any more.

We played it again, sort of.  Militia of citizens, elks lodge horon guard and 2 armored cars to stop the Mexicans.  A lot of dead mexicans, especially from the fine shooting by the yolo County Sportsmens association, (hunting club).  However the Mexican mgs mowed the civilians down and again the quality proved important.  But mostly that darn little tank did way too much damage.  It destroyed an armored car, emasculated a second, and wiped out some infantry for good measure.

A good game, only played by Mike Branum, Skrapwelder and Leadfool.

Hey Sactown players,

I had a lot of fun in the last game and I'm looking forward to the counter attack tomorrow.
