The other day Phoenikuz and me played a small 3-ladder campaing using the Chaos on Cronos ruleset, with a few minor adjustments such as added rules for running etc.
The setting were an alternative 2010, where the cold war was still going strong (although not so cold anymore

), he supplied all miniatures, most of the terrain (the local club supllied the rest), and both the rules, alterations, fluff and the campaing setup, so this is very much his game!
I Just wanted to express my exitement about COC, which really blew me away! and also show you some pretty pictures

First mission: Eyes Wide Shut
As attacker (playing a recon sqaud of capitalist bastards going into enemy territory to pave way for a larger attack) I had to place at least one bomb on the radar station (big building in the middle), while keeping my men safe and the communist scum the opposit. All survivors were going to partake in the last scenario, so I had to be carefull!.

He placed his men first and I made ready and took the first turn

Notice the tower in the background. It kept a sovjet partisan safe from three turns of heavy shooting from at least two guys, the fella finally went down when he left the glorius structure

I get a bomb placed at the radarstation, and then run for it (I sat a secret "turn seqeunce timer" on the bomb that Torben wasn't allowed to know

)
So in a last attempt to spoil the capatilists' fun, the russian hero "Boris" played the true patriot and tried to go in and disarm the damn thing

Luckely, it seems the Sovjet disarming procedures did not cover american made merchendise...
All in all a big succes for the "NATO" soldiers. I completed my mission, took down a lot more men than I lost, and badly injured the Sovjet Hero, I did loose a few more men than wanted, but anyways, It was great fun!
The COC rules are very dynamic, engaging and cinematic, and while we did not pay much attention to the competetive side of the rules, I'm totally hooked on this system!
More to follow shortly...
