28mm ACW US Marines
« on: 10 May 2010, 08:48:47 PM »
Can these be found anywhere? I would like the characteristic crossbelts, (otherwise I guess any frock coated infantry would do...). Grateful for any advice!

Sorry not to have replied earlier but I only just ome across the thread.

1st Corp make 28mm Marines along with Command and casualties.
ACW28 and ACW29 are the codes

They produce some nice miniatures including Higlanders for the ACW, Sailors, Pioneers and Rushes Lancers.

Cheers,

Barry

I was lazy and just painted Sash & Sabre frock coat guys with white pants (yes, I know, that's only for summer on ship. Whatever. They're also walking around with steampowered clanks). The other thing to watch out for is the rank on the NCOs; the chevrons go the other way on marines, so if you want to be a stickler for detail, you should probably shave them off and paint them on the 'correct' direction.

Again, that is if you're not lazy like me. :)

Thanks guys!

unfortunately there are no photo on the 1st Corps website. Some of their sculpts I have are a bit crude. How would you rate these? Any photos out there? Grateful for your help and advice
