Hope this logging of my little project isn't proving too tiresome.   Wink  Smiley

Not at all, it's really good to see so much devotion in a project. An inspiration to us all  :)

A small suggestion, would it be worth taking a small needle file to the metal master and making a bit more of a join between the belts etc and the clothing. In some parts they seem to blend a bit too much (if that makes sense)

Otherwise, looking good  :D

cheers

You have certainly put a lot of time and effort into this. Glad to see it is paying off and the air bubble wasn't too big an issue.

Terrific stuff, you must be really pleased with the way they are coming on. I can't wait to see a unit painted up of these. :)

Sorry to hear about the back. I thought you'd been a bit quiet. The NY troopers are looking good. I can't wait to see them painted!

They certainly look good enough to me although I would perhaps use a slightly darker shade of green for the base colour of the coats.

cheers

I like 'em a lot. The fact that you sculpted,then cast them and now painted them is a marvel in itself. Top stuff :)

Cute figures. They look like "classic toy soldiers"... I also like their uniform color. Nice work 8)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Re: F&IW New York Independent Company - Figure suggestions?

@LTD
Somehow I seem to have missed those.  They are nice though I suspect the shouldered arms might make for a more difficult conversion, bearing in mind that metal will need to be hacked from around the waist to create the external belt.  Thanks very much for the suggestion.  :)

@Aaron
Rolling updates will, of course, continue!  ;)  No promises as to frequency or speed of progress though!  Still working on the 'Brown Bess' and tricorn masters - the musket started with a bayonet but I've since had a change of mind and removed it.  Some wip:

Thanks also for flagging  the magazine article as I would have missed it.  I will be sure to pick up a copy from town tomorrow (I see they also have an article on the East Essex - my local regiment).
