After over a year of waiting, Musketeer miniatures has finally released their Russian Great Northern War command. Hurrah!  :) :) :)

Nice ones. Those miniatures would be of use for any pirate game as well, me thinks. 8)

Unfortunately, my hopes for Musketeer releasing a comprehensive range in the foreseeable future are rather low. Apart from Front Rank no 28mm producer seems to be able to cover at least the most important troops (especially cavalry) for the late 17th/early 18th century properly. That's a killer when trying to get people's interest for this great period: I really want to support Musketeer's venture here, but - as many others - cannot afford to invest into a possibly never-ending story. :'(

Yes, it is the color scheme that the Russian infantry officers wore. I particularly like the sash with the russian tricolore. I found the image on the Musketeer miniatures website.
