Submarine adventures (update 14/06/10)
« on: 08 June 2010, 09:39:02 PM »
Hello, in the past Salute can see a game where he represented the seabed. With the idea of doing something similar, use a plastic space marines to do some simple conversions along with different pieces of Games Workshop.
The miniatures are for use with the 45 Adventures or a variant of Chaos in Carpathia rules to do missions on the seabed. The following will make some appropriate scenery as well as the typical dangers of the sea like giant octopuses and sharks.

As always, thanks for your attention and sorry for my bad English.  ;)

Do not worry about your English - your figures speak for themselves, and they are excellent!

The brass of the suits looks very nice, and the harpoon guns are impressive, too.

The bases are a bit strange - are they supposed to be water, or a black sand beach? Maybe a seabed of sand, with some sea flora would have been better, to add a bit of contrast, but overall, the figures are superb.

Great work!

I was hoping this would have been a Submarine battle type game like a space (ship) battle game. Using Nautilus and other fantastical type of underwater vehicles. Could have giant sea monsters, mines and other nifty underwater vehicles.
Looking for a set of rules that adaptable for different genres.

wow! great minis and great ideas for a cool gaming session.
Adding some gray ET would be an excellent "X-com like" game.

By the way, how you made the dive helmet? its a "perdigon"?

I think they are supposed to be sand as it looks in the blueish/greenish light at the bottom of the sea.

What did you use for the helmets??
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

At last, a practical use for Space Marines. Well done.

Excellent conversions. I love the whole look of them. A very VSF sort of feel and underwater is one of those things that I have just not attempted to tackle yet.

Thank you very much everyone for your answers, the truth is that I have learned much from this site follow the work of you all.  ;)

The dive  helmet is a piece of plastic jewelry of which are used to make necklaces purchased at any art store. The idea of the bases is to play them on a blue table cloth.
Actually,  I'm doing an underwater vehicle and I hope to show the work in a few days.
Greetings!

PD: The idea for make minas is great.  8)

Brilliant! The barrels are really evocative. Where they look less spacemarine-ish they are at their best (no huge shoulder pads, no backpack). On the other hand the knife and the motion-sensor are a bit too 40k-looking.
However, all in all they are a beauty!

Don't forget to do a city fight on the streets of sunken Atlantis, and another get6ting pirate treasure chests smuggled past a "major colonial empire" to a group of natives a la Captain Nemo.

Very cool indeed, like X-COM: 1899 or something! The torches above the helmets remind me of anglerfish.

Very nice indeed. Can't wait to see what kind of vehicle you come up with.

I hope you don't mind if I steal some of your ideas.
Tank? Vot kind of dumbkopf name is that for a Schutzengrabenvernichtungspanzer?
