As I recall modern day Spanish Guardia Civil have a fairly bright olive green uniform with black leather boots and leather details. But what about back in the days of the civil war? I know they fought on both sides depending on who managed to grab them first but I bet they retained their uniforms and dainty little hats.

To help you more, look at the 1909 uniforms. Those were the standard uniforms used for common duty. The trousers were changed to a standard grey in 1912. Howver, as the '30s approached, the common colour was the olive green shown below as 1943. The standard guards on patrol wore black hats usually trimmed in yellow, and black-olive cloaks as the guy shown in the 1856 pic.
