Actually the Bolsheviks are an even better match, no need to shave off shoulder boards. I use them as Czechs. 'Twas a strange choice.

Seems like we have at least two heart felt wishes in common. Lovely looking car the P1800, unless of course you count the estate version. I know Swedes have a reputation for being profoundly practical folk but who thought a station wagon version of a classic sports car was a good idea?

Does anyone know if the Black Army Japanese are a good match with Copplestone? I'd prefer to pit them against my (very) few Chinese warlord figures (18 figures!! Woohoo! This economy sux!!) if they match. Also, any on-line painting guides for the Japanese at this time?

Hmmm. They are a good match for pulp figures. I haven't compared them to Copplestone, but the copplestone chinese I had, seemed rather big minis compared to most ranges.

Different uniforms by the RCW period. take a look at the Lanships website, it has a reprint of an article on the Japanese army in the Great War which has a number of useful b&w uniform plates.

The Japanese changed from the typical blue/white to kharki in about 1905. When I've got more time I'll put a bit more info here.
