This is a very, very nice looking game.
Thank you for posting this.
I like the board too. Excellent figures. I just love to see this kind of game reports.

Thankyou.Nearly all the figs were painted by the very talented Joe Dunn. He does comissions so if anyone is interested please PM me to get his details.
The whole East Africa setting for me  was inspired by the very humorous posts by Plynkes on this very forum.

Nice looking game.
Did you a rule or chance event for the wasps/hornets in the trees.(I believe they routed an indian or british unit during the battle.

The Tanga Skirmish Campaigns book does have "The Battle of the Bees" as one of the scenarios (complete with rules for them). A different one to the one being played here, I think, though.

The bees scattered everybody, not just the Indians. There were some (silly) suggestions that it had been a dastardly Hun trick in the aftermath of the disastrous battle, which is probably why nobody remembers that the Germans ran from them too.  :)

Great terrain.
Great figures.
Hopefully, great friends to game with.
What more could one ask for?
Enjoyed the write up, thanks for sharing.

What sort of numbers of figures/units where used in the game? Looks great.

(Also, where did you get the coloured unit cards? make them yourself?)

Sorry, few months late in replying.think we used units of 10 or so men with each side having about 5-6 units. :)
