Easter Island Heads - Review
« on: July 05, 2010, 09:13:44 AM »
Hi everyone, wasn't sure where to put this? So feel free to post it around.
I was given a set of Easter Island heads which were meant to be a Desktop toy for the office. However I'm a wargamer so first thoughts were to see if I could use them as scenery.

Here is a picy with them next to a 28mm skeleton from Otherworld miniatures

I've put up a review on my website giving more details.

Hopefully you will find it useful in your gaming.

Cheers

Germy

I purchased the same set for wargames scenery potential. As Easter Island heads, I thought they would mix better with 15mm than 28mm, but looking at your photo with the skellie I'll be reconsidering their use with 28mm figures.

Slightly off topic, but I just have to say that's a super skeleton!
(wonders off to check out Otherworld Miniatures)

Yeah I thought these might go well as smaller monuments for 28mm. Throw some skulls on them and a liberal amount of blood and I can see Indiana Jones types stumbling across them in some mysterious jungle  :)

They are closer to 15mm than 28mm (I've been there) but they should look OK.

Great find.  The pitting is actually correct, due to the nature of the volcanic rock (tuff) used to make the moai.
