That's nice, the misty look of the photos gives it an eerie air. What was the competition? (did you win?)

Great job with the half buried statues. Every time I try that, it just doesn't look right.

Fantastic!  

Here's a photo of a fallen moai with some tourists added for scale, so you can see that the scale is about right, as is the vegetation (and the mist, for that matter!).

I've been there and the Moai are HUGE, theres a quarry with half made ones  and a whole bunch just scattered around.  Most the the upright ones come from an area just on front of one of the volcanoes (Thats right there are two volcanoes on the island) the other one has a ancient village just on the rim and gives amazing views out to sea.

Very nice - how did you make the statue?

I'd guess carved styrofoam, but it might be --- I don't know. Wax? Wood? Clay? Camel dung?  :)

Carved them out of pink styro and put them on a polystyrene base
