Khorne kicks it Old School **Final Team Photo p4!**
« on: July 08, 2010, 07:24:11 PM »
This is the first of my planned RoC warbands using as many of the original figs as I can manage.

Champion Hannibal Blackhorn:

His warhound, World's Pain:

Loyal retainers from his human days...

Kickface the minotaur:

Two Chaos Dwarfs, Feskin Fourface and Brass-Ass:

Beastman captain RedDog:

Bovigors Steelhoof and MadCow:

Godhorn, Bloodbear and Battlehound:

And the two beastman attack dogs/berserkers, Chopper and SicBalls;

A bit annoyed as I spent ages on these and was really pleased with the way they came out, but my camera appears to be dying a bit and the pictres don't do them justice. (No, honestly, its the camera...)

Anyway, over to you. All C&C welcome as ever.

Cheers,

JB

Old Warhammer stuff (I mean, really old, from the days when you were 7 and flipped through the pages of your older cousins White Dwarf-old) always make my heart go boom-boom :)
Especially when its executed in a inspiring way.
Just a silly question, whats RoC?

...whats RoC?

Back in these days, EE brought out two lavishly illustrated rulebooks for Warhammer and 40K detailing two chaotic deities in each one. They were called Realms of Chaos.

Edit: Damn! Too slow again...

Thanks very much, fellas!  :)

I honestly think these old models are my favourite ever, and have spent far too much money recently on buying them up.

I'll post more as I get the other Warbands done, but it might be a while since I'm not the fastest painter and get distracted easily.

great work on the shields.

Cheers. And yes, I was actually sad enough to write all the beastmen's names on their shields. In Dark Tongue.

I have no life...  :(

Truly fantastic and inspiring work, JollyBob.  I fancy they look even more stunning (and formidable) on the tabletop.

Buying venerable GW gubbins on Ebay - and, yes, if you set your heart on something it certainly can get pricey - has been my forte too of late.  I've pretty much finished an Undead force and am now working on an Empire band.  Naturally I've not started painting yet (okay, I've undercoated some; a step in the right direction, at least!), but will post pictures when things are eventually finished.

Are you planning bands for each Power?  If so, I can't wait to see what your Nurgle fellas will look like!  I picked up this* rancid fella not long back, but, rather sacrilegiously, he's ended up as a Zombie Lord in my aforementioned Undead force...

*Not my pic, incidentally.
