Hehehe  lol Grammar jokes, just say no!

Richard, can I ask one question about 2nd Edition. Its specifically to do with ammo, IIRC you mentioned on one thread that ammo goes alot quicker. Why is this? Is it the same mechanic as before i.e. rolling a 1. Do all 1s count? so if you where rolling 4d10 and you rolled any number of ones you're ammo would be depleted by one?

Cheers
Andy

Andy: If I am reading what you wrote correctly, then yes.

If The Gargoyle is rolling 5d10 and gets 10, 8, 6, and 1. Then he would use the 10 for hitting but the 1 would still count for out of ammo.

I'd wondered about that, in our two small playtest games.

Ammo reloads just got a lot more important!

As it should be really ... of course if you are wanting a bit more of the cinematic nearly never ending ammo way of things it isn't hard to tweak the rules, but I like the idea of getting to that stage where your character is worrying if taking a shot is worth the risk or if they should wait for an easier one.

I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk?

Rolls a 1...............  :-[

While i am anxious for the 2nd ed rules. i am more than happy to wait and make sure they are perfected. i must admit i was a bit disapointed with the editing in the Atomic Cafe book.  :-X
So keep working, get it together, and make sure you do another special edition mini laminated book like you had for 1st ed.
Cause i want it !

Totally agreed, all joking aside it is better that a few extra months are being taken to get it really up to what those making it want to be.

Especially when you are working with a second edition and a product which is hopefully going to be a cornerstone for many years to come.

So with that sensible stuff is out of the way.

...how about now?

Played the upcoming edition rules at Historicon, and found them really great.  I've been waiting eagerly for about seven months since, ready to buy.

I am not going to give a firm date as every time I do, something happens to derail the work.

BUT... the Cold Wars convention is coming up and I am pushing hard to have books ready for it.
