I've been lucky to pick up a lot of wheels from ebay. When i've finished the train i will have a load left over so if anybody needs some just get in touch. No cost, just the postage.

I'll post a picture of the wheels later on if people are interested.

Trouble is real life is getting in the way of painting and model making. :x

It's obviously a WW2 train but should give you an basis for construction (the locomotive is WW1 vintage though).

This is a Polish armoured train but gives a good idea of a typical formation.

More useful information and pictures here:

Hope you find this helpful? I can't wait to see the finished results!

Thanks Boggler

Very useful, I was concerned it may have been a bit too large, but photos including soldiers standing nearby prove these things were beasts!

Next up will be a gun car with a turret at both ends and a troop compartment in between. I might cheat and try and score an O gauge double bogie flat car to use, they do attract good prices on ebay tho'

GRIMM thanks mate any advice on colour schemes would be appreciated.
olive green, grey or sand  or camo?

Thanks everybody, as it looks like rain this weekend i hope to have some more to show by Sunday.

Very, very neat, and makes me want to reprise my own cardboard Armoured Train project instead of waiting for Company Bīs...

Only quibble: Looks like you used foamboard to construct the body? The pins deformed the surface when you pressed them in, those pits are a tad bit ugly.

But otherwise, very nice.

Thanks for all the helpful comments Guys

You are right CW I was using foam core board.
Yes pushing the pins in has dented what should be flat plate armour plate.

Having now taken shipment of some plasticard i will try some on the guncars and turrets and see how that fairs.

GRIMM Green it shall be!!
