Scotia Grendel Corvus VTOL
« on: July 26, 2010, 12:49:02 PM »
Right, I'm sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but does anybody have one of these:

http://www.scotiagrendel.com/Products/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_42&products_id=213

and if so could they possibly review it for me in terms of size, construction etc.

Was thinking of using it for some Hasslefree Grymn droptroops, as it looks about the right size. Is it compltely solid? No opening hatches etc?

Any alternatives would be considered too...

Thanks

JB

I have one right in front of me...

I feel it's too small, even for Grymn.  It will work perfectly for 15mm, which is what I'm going to use it for.

Quality wise....My model was a bit rough, and needed lots of work.

It's a solid piece, no hatches.  White metal parts (like the guns and stands)

Thanks for that Supervike, I was in two minds about it and I think you've just saved me £12.99.

Cheers!  :)

That's a great model Hauptgefrieter, thanks.

Unfortunately I can't do cardstock models as I am a hamfisted oaf, and will more than likely smush it into oblivion.  :(

And much appreciated.  :)  I just know I have less chance of breaking a solid lump of resin.  lol

I've been hearing bad things about Old Crow's delivery times recently, so if I went that way I'd have to wait until I got to a show to pick it up in person...

... by which time I wouldn't want it...

Thanks for the reply though.

I've got that one as well....

That is much larger (about twice the size of the Corvus)

The quality of the resin is amazing...very sharp and well detailed.

It's still a bit small for my tastes (it is listed as 25mm)  But I think this would work fantastic for Grymn!

Never had any problems with Old Crow by the way. Stuff was delivered great and in a normal timeframe (2-3 weeks to Holland).

How about a Thunderbird 2 toy repainted?

They make one that is 11" in length!
