Cardinal Richelieu and his Guards
« on: July 29, 2010, 08:37:05 PM »
I painted Cardinal Richelieu and five guards from Brigade Games sculpted by Paul Hicks.

I now have 14 guards, with the Cardinal and Rochefort

I will used them in  a boardgame The Three Musketeers: The Queen's Pendants http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/55863/the-three-musketeers-the-queens-pendants. The game has plastic figures but they are bigger (1/48?) and non painted. So I rather like to use mine, already painted.

Very nicely done Olivier. I always see Charleton Heston as Richelieu in the miniature designed by Paul.  I too have played the boardgame and quite well done too for how it's played out.

Rochefort?  Isn't that a kind of smelly cheese?

Nicely done.  The colors on the guards are very effective.
This is my boomstick!

Top work. Must get around to painting mine sometime. :)

How's the boardgame? worth getting? Could be interesting to recreate the board in 3D. :)

I really enjoy the boardgame. 2-5 players and about 1 hour - 1 hour and half in length. The musketeers enter the Louvre Palace and must reach the queen before she meets the king. One of them carries the "ferrets" but which one? I like the turn card that gives a different activation order each time.

A 3D board? A friend already suggested me that! It's not easy for it's the Louvre so you can't have bare walls. It's tempting but I fear that I don't have enough time.
