Musketeer & Cardinal’s Guards
« on: 28 March 2008, 07:39:37 AM »
I finished the painting of the last Brigade Games pack of Cardinal's Guards. I painted one of them as a musketeer and the orhers as guards. These are really great figures, easy to paint and very dynamic, a great addition to the range.

Superbe, Olivier. Comme toujours  :)
I think you give the "musketeer virus". But I'm not sure I'd find people to play this periode around Monaco  :(

I want to come back to Paris !!!!

Magnificent! I'm going to paint four of them in a style similar to yours, and the last with a black tabard and red clothing, as an officer.

But right now they are unpainted on my workbench, rebuking me. :(

Frankly Pete, they are really great!

By the way, I spoke a couple of month ago with a french guy who knows really well the 17th and 18th century ( he's a mini painter and re-enactor ). He told me that there's absolutely no official document about the design of the Cardinal's guards tabards. He only found an official order for meters of red cloth and other pieces and that's all.

I'm using the one as the big boss! :)

Awesome! I have creative liberty! Actually, these are going to be Cardinal Murray's Guard, as soon as I find a Cardinal Murray miniature I like. :D

I use that "big boss" mini as Don Armando, who is a recurring hero in Gloire. But maybe I should just order another pack, and please the Lead Gods. :)
