… and then Big Yellow became Big Blue ;)

You’re right, as a game prop it do the job perfectly well. I don’t know why I always seem to fail to see the potential of this kind of toys myself… maybe I lack the imagination ;D

Anyway, that’s nice work 8)

No I think Ironworker just has some special glasses that he's not told us about that allows him to see all this potential around him!

Loving it!

I need to find some toys like those working vehicles - they would come in handy for Nuclear Renaissance as well.

Hmmm... or I could just order some stuff from Curtis...   ::)

The space port as a generic backdrop for SF games is an obvious choice. One more to add to the mental list of things to do, given the time.... I'd get me some figs from Zombiesmith (A7D12 Starport range) to populate it, and now my brain is already forming a new shopping list.... again....  o_o
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Very nice Ironworker.  Ol' Big Blue looks like it's seen better days.  :)

The warn off paint look on the truck is just perfect. How did you achieve that effect?

Mostly with layers of drybrushing and washes.  The metalic weather layers are drybrushed and the rust is a couple layers of wash.  Really more of a glaze than a wash I guess.

Got the Excavator done today.  It's not as fancy as the dump truck but I'm pretty happy with it and I think it holds up well next to "Big Blue".  I decided not to give it a name.  I don't plan to name every vehicle in the project.  The dump truck just had the right character for it.

I think they make a good team anyway.  :)

Looks great. Just a little thing that may help it look a bit better, if you notice most digger buckets have highly polished teeth, very few have rusty teeth as they get so worn and smooth from all the grit and earth they move.

Awesome weathering effects.  Where did yo get the construction trucks?

I got them in a set at the Dollar General store for about $8.00 a set.  The set came with the dump truck and excavator, two bobcat type vehicles, and a Semi with a flat bed trailer.  There is also a cool military set and a rescue vehicle set all for the same price.

I'm probably going to work the bucket over a bit.  The wash got a little heavy handed but I've got some other things I want to get out of the way first.  Thanks for the feedback.   :)

Those look really good - you did well to see the scale compatability. Are the other vehicles a good match too?
