Can honestly say I haven't, fell into 40k near the end of 2nd Edition. Maybe I need to check with my artist though since you keep bringing it up. I do hope you mean it in a good way and hopefully it will bring some luck to my ventures.

I think AEG is saying the concept art looks a lot like the Rogue Trader era artwork for Ratling Snipers and Ogryn heavy troopers, which are basically halfling snipers and ogres with big guns.

To be hoest Im seeing a lot of diffences between these concepts and the GW ones, your Ogres dont look like idiots or comic relief, and the sniper looks like a young halfling rather than a fat hobbit with a gun.

Now, you just need some elves preferably in a civilain role :)

I'm glad you can see the difference. The Ogre is a big brute but not comic relief, should work well as a crossover mini, but have a style of its own. In addition to the Halflings Sniper, the Halfling faction would include Operatives, Halflings in street clothes, trenchcoats, and the like who attempt to blend into the Slums and gather intel.

The plan for Elves is for them to fall into a Yakuza/Ganster role. Business suits, Katanas, Pistols and SMGs. The Yakuza Enforcer will be a big honking Sumo sized elf. The artist is working on some concepts for the Dwarf SWAT team right now, but as soon as he has those finished up, I'll see where he can go with the elves. If things take off, there will also be an Elvish Biker gang and Elves in various Slummer roles.

Dont forget the elf and human hookers with a drow pimp, and while your at it, I want a dwarf having a good ole drink like my avatar  ;D

Sounds really good, be nice to have some Shadowrun style miniatures, cause save for a few many of those old mini's are poor sculpts. I take it your aiming for 28mm, and not this god awful 32mm thats begun to take hold?

The goal is for the line to crossover well with other Futuristic lines, working as Alternative miniatures to those lines or working well with those lines. With some of the current prices of popular lines, we aim to keep costs low and make our line much more affordable.

We were aiming for about 40mm for the Ogre Enforcer, but you bring up a good point. That would make the Ogre about 15 feet tall according to my calculations. My fluff has them between 8-12... It will be mounted on a 40mm round base.

So I guess the question is now, would those interested in an alternative Ogre for use with another rules system be offended if the Ogre was slightly smaller than the current product manufactured?

I will keep the Elf and Human hookers in mind as well as the drow pimp. If you can get 100 or so friends to also want to pre-order a drunken dwarf like your avatar, I'd be happy to look into that production for you.  ;)

I personally couldnt care less of the size as long as they are taller than an average human and are cheaper than £13.50 per mini  :o

Current pricing for the Ogre Enforcer model is $9 USD. I'd have to look into International shipping a little more closely to give you an estimate of how much shipping would cost, but it should still be well below the £13.50 per mini charged by others.

Did a little research, if you order 1/2 pound of minis, shipping would still work about to be about $8 USD. $17 USD converts to £10.85, so even if I decided to rob people for shipping and handling, you'd still get away with almost £3.

Guess I should clarify that I have no intention of robbing folks for shipping...

Just to show you my interpretation of the Elvish Yakuzas.

The Yakuza Boss

The Enforcer

And some Grunts

Conversions are based on Dixon Yaks with different bits.
Except for the Enforcer, which is based on an Urban War Triad Sumo.

Those are very cool.  But that's the fattest elf ever! lol.  Great conversions especially the top one.
This is my boomstick!
