Very nice group of figures and a potentially very useful scenario item!

Thanks chaps  :)

I think I'll do a little photo shoot with my decent camera at the weekend  :)

and a potentially very useful scenario item!

Oh yes indeed  :D

Dont rile him up, Bibbles, he has obviously got some new crayons.
 :D

They have to use big lumps of chalk as crayons are considered sharp implements  ;D

Seriously, you should have popped one or two of those into the Colonial Tales Painting Expedition...

Aye, I never though of that  :( I've got a few more that might suffice though  :)

cheers

Yeah, but not sure where the level is ;)

Isn't it the long stick thing the feller in the middle is carrying?  >:D

I can see a potential scenario now:

Right chaps, the new railway line will cut through this valley.

The one with the Martian village in the middle sir?

Yes, that's the one Lieutenant Lambton.

But aren't there still Martians living there Major Lenox?

Not from tomorrow Lambton, not from tomorrow.

"Let's see Colonel, now where were we?"
"Red Boulder Mesa."
"Red Boulder Mesa... yes... When that railroad goes through Red Boulder Mesa, that land will be worth millions! And I want it!"
*The Colonial attaché, Sir Fulsome (Ful to his friends) Hardy begins to fondle a nearby statue of Queen Victoria*
"I want that land so badly, I can taste it!"
*Colonel Fitzwell, distracted by the attaché's bizarre behaviour, knocks a legal book off Hardy's desk*
"Clumsy Fool!"
"Sorry sir!"
"Wait a minute... there might be a legal precedent! Of course!"
*Hardy furiously flips through the pages of the legal text*
"Land snatching! Let's see, land... l-land... 'See "Snatch"'. Snatch... sn.. AH! Halley Vs. the Crown of England! Halley 345 runs, Crown 67 all outs! You see? It can be done! It can be done! Unfortunately there is one thing standing between me and that property: the rightful owners. There must be some way of scaring them off, driving them out..."

Whereas, when I do it, it's 'respectful homage...'  lol

However, we are getting the mood, aren't we?

Here's hoping we get to see some AAR's!

Well, yet another long term build comes to the fore, this time in the shape of The Martian Trading Company headquarters  :)

Still a fair few little details to do but I couldn't wait to get a cot of primer on it  :D

I'm going to do some fancy painted brickwork on this to make it 'zing' a bit more, probably a mix of blue/grey and London stock (I know we're not in London, or anywhere near it, but it is the colour name of that particular brick type  :) ).

cheers

James
