New Copplestone FW figures... Wasteland Characters
« on: July 26, 2007, 10:14:40 AM »
Anyone else notice these on the Copplestone Castings site?

He's been very quiet on the new releases front for about three months. Let's hope this heralds another wave of brilliant new figures!

Wolfman, Dr Death, Rabbit Boy and Johnny Zombie...

Rabbit Boy????!

Is Mr C on mind-expanding drugs, has his fertile imagination gone into overdrive, or are there some filmic or comic sources for these characters that have passed me by?

Well, they're rather ... odd.

I quite like Doctor Death, but the others don't do anything for me. And that Johnny Zombie looks very familiar, I'm sure I've seen it somewhere before. Copps ain't recycling old sculpts, is he?

Edit: "Rabbit Boy" is actually listed as "Billy the Kid" on the website.

Maybe he's William Bunny?

Love that Dr Death figure   - not sure about the other ones though! I am not sure how I would use the "Bunny Boy" figure or the Zombie,  suppose I could just pass the zombie onto Pappa Midnight, He would probably find a use for it!

Hmmm........ Someone mention my name...?
Those are some VERY strange minis. That Zed reminds me of the Foundry gunfighter zombie.
Feel free to send any unwanted Zombies to me. I'll give them a good home!

Quote from: "Captaingeneral"

Bunny boy? bring up the Holy Hand-grenade of Antioch....

CG

...And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O Lord, bless this Thy hand grenade that with it Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits, in Thy mercy." And the Lord did grin and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats and large chu... [At this point, the friar is urged by Brother Maynard to "skip a bit, brother"]... And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it." Amen.

That boy reminds me of those hip-hop (pun-intended) Kangaroo Mutants in the "Tank Girl" movie (not the comic book variant, as far as I can tell)... but Dr. Death is neat-o.
