Tripods in Majorca!
« on: 05 September 2010, 05:02:02 PM »
Just a bit of fun so dont get too excited.

Me and the family recently had a cheeky holiday to a Holiday Village in Majorca. The sort of place designed around kids activities in a big way so ear plugs and a sense of humour are needed. Anyway, one of the activities was for the kids to build a robot out of a plastic cup, some paper, a few straws, cotton reels, sellotape and string in fifteen minutes (a bit harsh methinks). As I have trained my Padwan well my daughter announced she wanted a tripod so we got to work:

Behold the mighty behemoth:

The evil creator surveys her machine of death:

Before you say it, we didnt have time for rivets   ;)
Don't!

Nice, imaginative build… and the creator doesn’t look that evil to me ;)

There is a problem with the brush technique, though!    lol

lol She hasn't quite mastered dry brushing yet but I'm working on it!

Indeed, on the outside cute and cuddly. On the inside, evil genius. Tis the way of a way too clever four year old with her parents sense of humour.

Sorry, TC, but she has demonstrated the ability to draw circles; she just needs to make many small ones.

Not that I'm holding my breath; future Dragon Ladies will always proceed at their own pace...

Still well done to both future world dominator (cheeky spell checker tried to make me say 'trix'), and doting parents!

Lads, lads, lads! You're falling into the trap! Yes, cute on the outside (very correct in asuming she takes after her mum) but on the inside that machiavellian mind twists your words and bends your mind until she gets the ice cream you swore she was never going to have!  ;)

Joras, cheeky holiday = a holiday by all rights we cant afford but as the other half is an air hostie for a big airline we get ridiculously cheap rates which cant be resisted.

You did note this father and grandfather of the diabolical female of the species didn't for a minute fall into the trap. My own offspring has become an unspeakable creature of the night, or at least whenever a good goth LARP is happening. No, I didn't call your daughter cute.

Well, she does have a most adorable smile and twinkle to her eye...  lol

Doug

PS Don't ask about the granddaughter; her powers of domination are TRULY frightening, and at age five, has long passed mere ice cream!
