austro hungarian infantry

I have seen AH infantry in gray and blue gray and green gray... is it possible that the AH infantry migrated to German style gray uniforms as the war progressed...anyone have some good pictures they could post?

I use german field gray based on extensive pictures in the Austro Hungarian stormtroopers book I have for late war. They changed circa 1915- 1916.

You can see pictures on the scarab miniatures web site www.scarabminiatures.com

The change from "Pike-Grey" to "Field-Green" was implemented in 1915. Late war has quite a bit of scope for variation in uniform colours. The slow internal collapse of the empire and the chronic shortages meant that standardisation went by the wayside to a degree, as they had to make do with what they could get. The necessity of using lower quality materials led to uniforms fading to a kind of brown very quickly in 1917-18, and stocks of much greener captured Italian jackets were also worn by some troops.

So I started painting my Austrians with three layers of gray on their uniform.  But based on some of the info here, I have added a light coat of Gray with a hint of bue as the top shade.  Makes the units look like they are wearing faded blue gray uniforms where the blue has begun fading faster than the gray component in the dye...would love to post a picture but can't find the cord that downloads pictures from my camera to the computer...
