Flash Gordon fans rejoice!!!

The movie is being released as a two DVD set on Tuesday.  Fortunately, my wife has fond memories of seeing this movie and wants to get it.  The new Sci-fi series also starts on Friday.

When we first approached Universal about releasing the remastered version early to help promote Fantastic Worlds they were very open to the idea. "We'll make August 'Flash' month and even get the series on for you as well' they said. Good people there.

Unfortunately the Burrough's estate wasn't as forthcoming. The John Carter movie is still years off and they refused to budge.

Correction to first message...it is only a one-disc package.  I bought it yesterday and watched it last night.  It's amazing how far movies have come in the past 27 years, although Star Wars and Alien were far superior cinematically.  My wife and I still really enjoyed it.
