Great brushwork Piers on the female MRLA/Min Yuen. They really look the part. This was my suggestion at the time to Dave as I'd read a number of accounts of females with these types of weapons. If I can recollect from my readings the girl with the tommy gun had a nick name, but I'll need to look this up.

Piers, you have beaten me to the painting of these, plus the bearded wonder and wife with the addition of another MRLA bren team kneeling (very nice) and Bill Stafford with Police from KL. All ready for paint after I've finished my commissions.

Thanks for sharing your photos Piers an I'm sure Dave will be very pleased with these little treasures.

@ Sangennaru
The patches and ragged look is typical of what happens to clothing when you are in the jungle. Having spent a number of months in the Malayan jungle even after one day your clothes can tear. Many account of this occuring from the commonwealth forces who were operating in the jungle at the time.

Cheers,

Helen
Best wishes,
Helen

They look like they have VC potential, if Malaya wasn't the bag you were in to.

I too have these waiting to be started (got to get everything for BLAM sorted first). The new bren team is my favourite :)
I have a nice pic of women CTs in light tops and black trousers (Osprey I think) which will make a nice contrast to the light khaki of the men.
Great painting as always Piers.

That's what I was just thinking. Anyone know how they would scale with Reaper's revolutionary figure?

They are definitely improving their sculpts. These ones seem to have some sort of recognisable facial features. Nice brush work BTW.

I do not think a girl is allowed to have such hort hairs and pants by her mother. IMHO a Mafia Boss from southern Italy does not even consider a girl with such hair, IMHO it is very difficult he gives her a rifle and ask her to shoot :(

Any way women usullay stay at home cooking and taking care of their children, in such families!

According to Pietro Grasso, the Against-Mafia Italian prosecutor, who spend is free time to go to school speacking young guys not to enter Mafia, Mafiosi Girls are looking for money but will spend their youth time to grow up their young husband's children alone because he is in jail! Just 1 on 1000 became a rich man entering in Mafia!

Anyway are those miniatures avalaible?
I cannot find them in the Inkerman web site! ??
