A few new Eureka moderns
« on: September 28, 2010, 08:24:27 AM »
These turned up today with little detail. Perhaps others may chip in some information on them.

An Afghan AA HMG, a DUZ??? I can't read the full name on the packet :(

The rear leg is a separate piece and is very fine with a tiny connection. A better method may have sufficed for resiliency, but it does the job. I blue taced the legs to the ground to hold them for the photo. They have fine needle point ends

Codes 100Mod120-122

These really didn't photo well at all :( The faces are alot better than indicated, as is the general crispness. If I had to be a super nit picker perhaps a few of the legs are slightly 'thick' but frankly I'd have to be grumpy to say that. I have no idea who they are intended to represent, all the pack has is a code number. I will attempt to re photo them when I get a chance.

The chaps with  the SLRs are SAS,the Oman methinks. The machine gun is an Soviet DShk 1938/DShKM,roughly equivalent to a .50 Browning HMG.

Thanks for the help. The HMG definitely has DUZxxx written on the pack. The Rhodesians, my first thought was hmm, Predator figures :O but I'll use them for Aliens the same as the other moderns I get.

The DshKm is also available separately, minus crew and in that configuratiuon comes with separate spade grips which fit onto a lug at the rear. Mine fitted so well they almost didn't need glue. The whole thing is an amazing piece of craftsmanship and speaking personally, I haven't found any problems with the tripod, once glued it's quite robust. The ammo box fits nicely to the gun as well. Best sculpted machinegun out there.

The RLI business is just a marketing ploy. We all know that really they are armed members of the San Francisco men's Pride Group, the cute shorts are a giveaway. ;)

Okay, I'm a little confused.... are these upcoming releases? There's no news or info about them anywhere on the Eureka site. CDM how did you manage to get your mitts on them?  :?

The RLI were part of Eureka's 100 club, they just became available to the pre-order folks a month ago.  They will probably show up on their website in the next couple months.
They call me "Point Cow"

Whoops, looks like I spoke too soon.  The RLI are already up on Eureka's USA site.  Although there is no mention of the HMG from  your pictures.  I could use some of those!
