Since I'm bored with Burma (not really but there's a couple of weeks worth of work still to do which will use up my entire holiday) I decided on a change of pace.

So, my summer project is Drug Wars, a self-contained four player game where you aim to start small and grow your street gang by selling drugs, burglary and probably prostitution too.

Details here:

More details as and when they happen :)

Very nice idea, I like the look of the board you are making. Which figures are you going to use?

Nice buildings for the game - I like the use of architrave for detailing.  Something I had not thought of doing.
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

There's a true gamer for ya: spend a several hundred quid on miniatures, then several hundred hours nearly painting them all just to say " Ah, f--k-it-all! I' bored. I want to do some thing different and grander". :-)

I'm going to use my Thugz and the four gangs made by Josef, plus some Police (I have loads). Local dope fiends and residents will be represented by my mini Homies.

(And, I'll still be carrying on with Burma as well, I have less than 30 figures to go.)

Ahh yes, I had forgotten about your Thugz collection.  :) Those are great looking homies, full of character where did you get them?

I got them off e-bay. Homies are too big but there are sets of these 'mini homies' around occasionally. Very occasionally  :(

I'm always on the look out for more. Some come with pimped cars too

I seem to recall that there are a couple of Urban Outfitters in London. I think they carry the mini-homies, at least occasionally.

Looks really interesting!  Very tempting to try out too!

I got myself a set of the mini-homies too, after I saw Matakishi's set!  I can't remember where I got them though.  It was some store in USA.  Do a google for mini homies.  Hopefully they will turn up.  One of the best buys!  Dig them out everytime for zombie games!

edit:  found it!

Looking good Paul  :) .

I got the Thugz from EM4 www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/Thugz.html after seeing yours painted a while back. Unfortunately mine still lie unpainted  , along with a load of Foundry cops etc.

I like the idea of this game.  It reminds me of a PBM I played years ago where you had to build a gang and gain control of a "turf". I'll be interested to see how this progresses.

Just noticed a set of rules for gangfights on the obelisk miniatures site.

http://obeliskminiatures.com/GangStars1.0.pdf

Not sure if its of any help for your game Paul, but may at least throw up a few ideas or rules to adapt.
